Starting your day off right is easy here. Open from a little before 8 AM, it serves as a perfect pit stop for early risers and those just rolling in from long journeys. Take it from Carl Myhill, who, after disembarking from a sleeper train from London, found Cafe Wander to be an excellent kickoff for his adventure. With friendly staff who are eager to share their love for the area—one even hiked the famous West Highland Way—this is hospitality done right.
The café’s menu is a celebration of breakfast favorites, with rave reviews highlighting its extensive offering. And if you’re craving something sweet, Beth Garton swears by the mouthwatering brioche French toast with Nutella, honeycomb, and maple syrup—simply irresistible!
But it’s not just about the fluffy pancakes and rich coffees. Sally Thomas declared the full Scottish breakfast an absolute winner at a reasonable price. Jumped off the sleeper train from London. This place is open from a little before 8am it seems. Staff are lovely. One has hiked the West Highland Way (we're about to). Food lovely. Excellent start to our trip.

Great find hidden on West George St, everything from the breakfast to the coffee and cakes were top notch plus the service was quick aswell Those Morton rolls are huge by the way! My new favourite go to cafe in Glasgow

Fantastic little find. Very friendly service was fantastic and fast delicious breakfast definitely worth a visit if you’re in Glasgow.

This is such a lovely place! Really fast and friendly service. I had the white chocolate frappe and brioche french toast with Nutella honeycomb and maple syrup and it was incredible. Best I’ve ever had. When traveling I always like going to new places but I’ll have to break that rule next time I find myself in Glasgow. I need to come back!! In the photo also is the full Scottish breakfast - the haggis and black pudding was great to taste them side by side and appreciate the differences. Please stop by here and I hope you have as good of a time as I did.

We fancied a Scottish breakfast but reasonably priced and Cafe Wander was spot on. Friendly service and no-fuss good breakfast food. There is the option to create your own breakfast roll and the vegetarian breakfast was cracking. I had the full Scottish for 8.95 including toast and couldn’t finish it, but also couldn’t eat anything else until well into the afternoon! Can get busy so be prepared to wait but service is very efficient so you won’t have to wait too long. Great find!

Lovely little place in the city centre for a good fry up and coffee. Ideal location for starting your day as a tourist or grabbing something for the office. The staff were really attentive too.

Probably would not have gone in if I hadn't googled before but it was well worth it. We were a group of four and all had different breakfasts and drinks and everything was excellent. The service was 100% and I asked for a couple of changes to my meal which was dealt with efficiently. We will be returning x

Thankfully the breakfast offering at the hotel I was staying at was dire, a quick online search found Cafe Wander, and what a great find it was. There were a bunch of breakfast offerings, but I had the porridge on the first day, it was so good I had it three mornings in a row. If you’re after something more substantial they do a full Scottish Breakfast, one of my fellow diners had this and was very impressed. I can also recommend the mocha. The staff were lovely, recognizing me after just the first day, while I was there, there was a constant stream of regulars picking up their orders.
